đź“° What's Poppin

Two nights before the cruise, 11:30 PM, I’m staring at my content calendar thinking… this is either about to embarrass me or prove me right.

Bc everybody’s system works when they’re home. At home, you can panic-post. At home, you can fix things at midnight. The real test of a content system is a week where you can't touch it.

I was on that ship for about a week. Spotty wifi, days with no signal at all. And the content went out every single day. Reels, posts, all of it.

I didn’t create anything on that boat. Maybe an intro, that's it. Everything that was posted was made from things I had already created… old long-form videos, ideas I’d banked, concepts I’d brainstormed in one sitting.

And that’s when it hit me: most creators don’t have a content problem. They have an inventory problem. You’ve already made the content. It’s sitting in your camera roll and your channel doing nothing.

I treat my content like an album. The long-form video is the album. Every clip, post, and visual that comes off it is a single. And singles is what keeps you on the top of mind while you’re gone.

Let me break this down:

🖥️ Album Architecture: On Tour

🔹 Step 1: Pick 2-3 “albums” from your catalog. Your best long-form videos, lives, or podcast episodes from the last year. Proven material only… your analytics already told you which ones.

🔹 Step 2: Let Opus Clip cut the singles. Run each one through and let it pull the strongest 30-60 second moments. One long video became most of my week right there.

🔹 Step 3: Art-direct with ChatGPT. One brainstorm session: visual concepts for each single… the cover art, aka carousels, the text on screen, the first frame. This is the step everybody skips, and it’s why their clips look like leftovers.

🔹 Step 4: Faceless content is an option. You don't have to put yourself on camera to make content. Using an AI avatar with HeyGen or an AI video made from your voice with Agent Opus should be part of your arsenal.

🔹 Step 5: Bank it, then approve from your phone. Nothing auto-posts without my eyes. Ten minutes of port wifi a day to say yes or no. That’s the whole job.

Now, can I be honest? An album takes work. If your catalog is thin, this system has nothing to cut from… so your next long-form isn’t just a video, it’s inventory for the next three months.

🌆 AI Alley

OpenAI went into hardware and came out with... a keyboard.

The Codex Micro dropped July 15. $230, built with Work Louder, limited run. Light-up keys that show your AI agents' status, a joystick for launching workflows, and a dial that adjusts how much "reasoning" the AI puts into a task.

Is there a point? Keep it a buck... for most of us, no. It's for developers managing fleets of coding agents, and even then, it's a collector's piece. Everything it does, your screen already does for free. Plus, Apple is actively suing OpenAI over hardware trade secrets, so dropping a keyboard right now reads like a warm-up flex before the real device.

OpenAI has been making a lot of noise lately. I don't count them out. What do you think about this shift to hardware?
