An insecurity I use to have is with storytelling. Especially in this era of social media, the ones who can tell the best story are the ones who are getting the views, the engagement, and the conversions.

And so I'm constantly studying the craft of storytelling. This week I watched a video from one of my favorite creators named Kallaway who breaks down the exact science behind every great story, and it's simpler than you think.

First lessoned I learned....Traditional story arcs everyone learns in school are basically useless for content creators. The real secret is something called "story loops": mini hills before the roller coaster hits the mega drop.

"If you understand this one fundamental framework, story loops, you could become a master storyteller literally overnight."

I realized most creators are trying to tell one big story when they should be creating cascading loops that keep people hooked. Every story loop has just two parts: context (opening the loop) and reveal (closing the loop). So lets break down the L.O.O.P.S. Method:

L - Launch with Clear Context

Start each loop with context that's crystal clear. If viewers get confused, they bounce immediately. Your opening has to be understandable so they can get curious.

O - Open Curiosity Gaps

Once context is set, the viewer's brain starts predicting what comes next. That prediction IS curiosity. Your job is to manage their expectations strategically.

O - Optimize Your Reveals

There are 5 types of reveals: worse than expected (they bounce), equal to expected (attention fades), better than expected (dopamine hits), unexpected but confusing (they bounce), unexpected but intriguing (dopamine hits). Aim for the last two.

P - Progress Through Multiple Loops

Don't tell one long story, create multiple mini-loops that cascade together. Each loop should open and close while setting up the next one.

S - String Loops Strategically

Work backwards from your most interesting facts (the reveals) and figure out what context you need to provide so the reveal makes sense and exceeds expectations.

Great storytelling isn't talent...it's understanding the psychology of curiosity loops and managing viewer expectations strategically.

Your next piece of content shouldn't just tell a story...it should create multiple curiosity loops that people can't resist following to the end.

πŸŒ† AI Alley

So inside of Lions Behavior, (which I don't know why you're not in there if you're reading this and you're not a member. Click here to become a member) I tested out the latest AI video generator: Kling 2.6.

This is another model that can turn your images into video and this also has audio with it. Let me show you what it can do and the prompt to be able to do this (Little long but I'm getting detailed with what I want).

SHOT β€” Medium-wide shot inside a brightly lit house, facing the front door. The female protagonist (wearing glasses, hoodie, and a hat with a lion logo) stands center frame, hands on her cheeks, eyes wide, letting out a loud comedic scream.
ACTION β€” At the moment she screams, the two burglars outside the window instantly panic. They jerk backward with exaggerated fear: one slips on the snowy porch and scrambles away, the other drops his flashlight and runs out of frame. Their faces show shock and terror as they flee in opposite directions.
AFTER ACTION β€” Once the burglars disappear, the female slowly lowers her hands from her cheeks. Her expression shifts from terrified to confused. She looks left, then right, then back toward the window with a puzzled β€œwhat just happened?” look.
SCENE β€” Winter night. Snow falling softly outside. Warm indoor lighting contrasts against the cold blue tones outside. The window clearly shows the burglars running away before the scene settles on her confused reaction.
CAMERA β€” Slight handheld shake during the scream for comedic effect. After the burglars run off, the camera steadies and gently pushes in as she drops her hands and looks around in confusion.
VISUAL STYLE β€” Cinematic, photorealistic, crisp 4K detail. Classic holiday-movie comedic tone.
AUDIO β€” Her loud scream echoes. Burglars shout β€œAhhh!” as they retreat. Snow footsteps, a flashlight hitting the ground, then quiet as she looks around confused.
MOOD β€” Fun, chaotic, and humorous, with a clean comedic beat: scream β†’ burglars flee β†’ confusion.

I created this inside of Higgsfield AI because, honestly, I'm tired of paying for so many subscriptions. This is the only platform that allows me to do all the images and all the videos in one location. So try Kling 2.6 because it's pretty impressive. Inside of Higgsfield, click here for the link.
