Every creator I talk to who's using Claude is using it the same way: open it, type what you need, get an answer, close the window. Maybe you save the prompt. Maybe you re-explain yourself next session.

That's prompting. And it's leaving most of the capability on the table.

Here's what I want to show you instead: how to stop treating Claude like a search engine and start treating it like an actual team. Because once you see the difference, you can't go back to doing it the old way.

Here's the real problem with how most creators use AI.

Every time you start a new conversation, you start from zero. You re-explain who you are, what your brand is, who your audience is, what your voice sounds like. You're doing full onboarding every single session.

Think about what that actually costs you: not just in time, but in creative energy. The cognitive overhead of explaining context every time is friction that quietly adds up. It keeps you using AI reactively instead of proactively.

Most creators are using about 10% of what Claude can actually do because nobody told them about the architecture underneath.

The creators who understand this are building sessions the way you walk into an office that's already set up. The context is loaded. The departments are ready. The work begins without setup.

That's not a hack. That's a completely different relationship with your tools.

So here's the shift that changed everything for me.

I stopped asking "what can Claude do for me right now?" and started asking "how do I build Claude into a creative department?"

When you use Cowork and the plugin system, you're creating persistent context, specialized roles, and loaded tools. You're not prompting anymore. You're delegating.

Think about it this way: you're already running a five-person company by yourself. Strategist, writer, researcher, editor, social media manager ...that's all you, every day. The 3 Departments setup lets you build that team inside Claude without the headcount, the management overhead, or the onboarding.

You stop being overwhelmed by AI. You start being organized with it.

The 3 Departments Framework

Every solo creator should set these up first:

πŸ”Ή Content Creation Department. Give it your brand voice, content pillars, audience details, and templates. Every time you need a draft, outline, or repurposed piece, you’re walking into a fully-briefed writer...not a blank page. The output quality difference once context is loaded is real and immediate. This is Album Architecture applied to your AI stack.

πŸ”Ή Research Department. Set this up with your niche, the sources you trust, your competitors to watch, and your audience’s core questions. Instead of doing research from scratch every time, you’re running structured requests against a pre-contextualized system. Prep that used to take hours gets compressed to minutes.

πŸ”Ή Operations Department. Load it with your workflows, project structures, and standard tasks...content calendars, launch checklists, client communication templates. The things you do the same way every time? Build the department once. Delegate every time after.

One setup. Sustainable output. Your voice preserved across every department.

The difference between creators who are overwhelmed by AI and creators who are organized with it comes down to one thing: did you build the infrastructure, or are you still starting from zero every session?

πŸŒ† AI Alley

so one of my favorite AI tools, HeyGen, recently got a new feature, and I promise you this needs to be talked about more.

but when I started looking at the platform again, it actually has a few hidden features that no one really talks about.

so of course HeyGen is known for being able to create AI avatars that look just like you A.K.A. AI Clones.

But these features we need to talk about.

So everybody and their mama's been waiting for Seed Dance 2.0 to come out, and here comes HeyGen quietly releasing it on their platform. But also, did you know that it can clip up your long videos and upscale some of your old low-quality videos to high-quality content.

You can't forget that it can do video podcasting too, where it will take two AI avatars and turn it into a podcast. think NotebookLM, but with actual AI people.

So where most would look at maybe paying 30 a month just for AI clones not being worth it, it's the other features that HeyGen has that make it something you need to add to your AI stack.
