This Google rule literally changed the way how I look at content strategy when it comes to turning followers into dollars. It's called the 7-11-4 Rule, and it's about to make your content make sense.
According to HubSpot (one of my fav marketing resources), most businesses are only capturing 2-3 touchpoints with their audience. TWO TO THREE! When the data shows we need wayyy more than that.
Let me break this down:
Your potential customer needs:
7๏ธโฃ Hours watching/reading your content
1๏ธโฃ1๏ธโฃ Different ways to interact with your brand
4๏ธโฃ Different platforms to find you on
I know what you're thinking - "Nicky, girl, I barely have time to post on ONE platform!" Don't worry, I got you. Let's make this doable for the real world.
Here's what nobody's telling you: You don't need to create 7 hours of NEW content. What if I told you the content you already have could fill most of these hours?
Example Time:
- That 1-hour live you did last week? That's content hour #1
- Your IG carousel explaining your process? 15 minutes
- Those 5 Reels you posted? Another 30 minutes
- Your welcome email sequence? 45 minutes
- That podcast interview you did? Another hour

I wish someone told me earlier: Start with what you have. Already doing lives? That's your content backbone. Love writing? Make your blog your content hub. The key is working WITH your strengths, not against them.

๐ด Underrated Lesson
We were given a vision for your brand for a reasonโso why do we let the success of others make us doubt our own unique journey?
It happened to me. Scrolling for โinspirationโ, looking at other peopleโs content:
- Their quality is fire
- Their views are going crazy
And then we look at our own contentโฆ it starts to feel small like itโs not enough. The doubt starts creeping in...
Here's what I had to remind myself: I was given my vision for a reason. So let me remind you as well: The reason your content doesn't look like theirs is because it's not supposed to.
You're not here to blend in.
Looking at others for inspiration is fine. But when it keeps you from creating, youโre losing the very thing that makes your content special: YOU.
I had to remind myself this same thing this week.
