📰 Corner Newsstand
A report dropped this week: the Influencer Marketing Factory's 2026 Creator Economy Report and two numbers jumped off the page.
76% of TikTok posts get fewer than 1,000 views.
48.7% of creators earn under $10K a year.
Let that sit for a second. Three out of four posts are basically invisible. And almost half the people creating content can't pay rent with it.
These numbers aren't a failure of creators. They're a failure of strategy.
Because the creators earning real money? They're not the ones posting three times a day hoping the algorithm notices. They're the ones who built something the algorithm can't touch.
I watched one of the members inside of Lions Behavior go through this exact spiral. Posting daily on TikTok. Getting 400 views. 600 views. Maybe 1,200 on a good day. She was exhausted and the bank account reflected that too.
So I asked her one question: "What do you sell?"
She paused. Because she didn't have an answer.
That's the gap. Not views. Not reach. Not followers. She had no system for turning attention ...even small attention...into income that didn't depend on the platform's mood.
Let's break this down. The same report showed that ad revenue is only 21.6% of creator income now. The creators actually making money? They're stacking product sales, affiliates, digital downloads, and community memberships. They built revenue the algorithm doesn't control.
So here's what I started tell Lions Behavior through and what changed everything for that member who was stuck at 400 views.
The Low-View Money Framework
🔹 Step 1: Pick your owned platform. Email list, community, or Substack. Somewhere the algorithm can’t unfollow your people for you. If you have 200 engaged subscribers, you have more than most creators with 50K followers. Start there.
🔹 Step 2: Build one offer under $50. A template, a mini-course, a resource pack, a coaching call. Something you can sell to 20 people this month without needing a single viral post. Hence why I have a Pay what you want offer with Draftloop.
🔹 Step 3: Use content to sell the transformation, not the product. Every post should answer one question: “What does my audience struggle with that my offer solves?” That’s it. You don’t need 100K views. You need 100 right people to see it.
🔹 Step 4: Diversify your revenue stack. The report showed creators are splitting income across affiliates (10.6%), digital products (10.6%), and brand deals. If 100% of your income comes from one source, you don’t have a business ...you have a dependency.
🔹 Step 5: Stop measuring views. Start measuring conversions. Track how many people go from your content to your link, from your link to your list, from your list to your offer. A post with 300 views and 12 email signups is worth more than a post with 30K views and zero action.
The creator economy isn’t broken. The strategy most creators are running is broken. Is that you?
🌆 AI Alley
Poppy AI just dropped a feature that might change how you study content forever. You paste any Instagram profile link and it instantly pulls every recent post... then ranks them by outlier multiplier aka their top performers. A 6.8x means that post performed 6.8 times better than that creator’s average. A 2.1x? Still double their norm.
Here’s why this matters: instead of scrolling through someone’s grid guessing what worked, you see the outliers instantly. One click on “Quick Add Top 10 Outliers” drops those posts onto your Poppy board where you can chat with AI to break down why those posts hit...the hooks, the formats, the topics, the patterns and customize it to your strategy. It literally gives you the blueprint of what works on Instagram
This isn’t about copying. It’s about understanding what your audience’s attention actually responds to by using someone else’s data as the proof. Study 5 creators in your niche, find the outlier patterns, and you’ll know more about your content strategy than most agencies charge thousands to tell you. The feature is in beta now. Go test it by clicking here.
